Best Snorkeling Vacation and Things To Do

By Phil Usher

Spend your best snorkeling vacation at Jungle Huts. We can tailor any package to suit our guests. Tour Mayan ruins, cave tubing adventures, visiting the Belize Zoo and Jaguar Sanctuary, bird watching, walking nature trails, island hopping, snorkeling and scuba diving, hiking the waterfalls, and exploring the worlds' second largest barrier reef are just a sample of the fun and exciting tourist attractions in Belize. We cater parties, weddings, meetings, courtyard functions, and the like.

Dangriga is an excellent place to start your marine adventures in Belize. Nearby are coral reefs, Cayes, and coastal villages. The cockscomb basin is an excellent sample of Belize’s lush tropical rainforests. It is home to countless species of exotic plants and animals. The Jungle Huts Resort in Dangriga is an ideal location because of its accessibility to both the inland rain forest reserves and the sparkling blue waters of the Caribbean Sea.

The Caribbean Sea is home to many types of exotic marine life. The eagle ray, one of my favorites, is a real beauty. She circles the coral atoll at Glovers Reef year round. Another popular creature, the whale shark, frequents Belize to feed on the spawning of the snapper.

Jungle Huts’ knowledgeable staff provides the highest quality service for those in search of fun-filled days and relaxing nights.

Snorkeling Trips:

Tobacco Caye is the perfect place to discover the beautiful coral formations of the reef. Better known as the “Coral Garden,” this day trip costs $175.00 US per person.

Glover’s Reef day trip is $185.00 US for a minimum of four people. Glover’s Reef is a coral atoll with nearly seven hundred coral patches abundant with fish and coral formations that will amaze you on your best snorkeling vacation.

Scuba Diving Trips:

You can also scuba dive at Glover’s Reef. It is $250.00 US per person with a minimum of four divers. Glover’s Reef has a unique natural formation called “the crack” where the coral is split and resembles a cave without a top. (Price if for two tank dives).

The Shark Cave package is a two tank dive; It is $250.00 US Per person, however, it is a very magnificent area and the frequent shark sightings make it a hot spot.

Other Scuba diving trips include:

Lighthouse Reef $250.00 US

Blue Hole $250.00 US

Half Moon Caye $250.00 US

Whale shark dives are available from April to June. Whale sharks are most likely to be seen one week before the full moon and one week after. These unique sharks feed at night, which makes it difficult to predict when they will appear. However, seeing one of these magnificent creatures is an unforgettable experience. The whale shark dive is $350.00 US per person with a minimum of four divers.
