Jamaican Primary School

by Dianne Birney

Jean V Aldridge, the teacher of the 2nd and 3rd grade class provided a wish list for the school. If you would like to help contribute any supplies, email the address below and we will make arrangements to send them with the next travelers. Read Marc and Line's Trip Report about their visit to the school.

The teachers have extended a big Thank-You!

In Jamaica, parents must supply school uniforms and supplies. This is a large barrier for many families who want to send their children to school.

Lunch of buns and milk are provided everyday. But, a box lunch of rice and peas and chicken can be purchased at the tuc shop (little shop) across the street, for those who can afford it. This is a mighty fine treat.
