Winnifred Beach is a very friendly laid back local beach with small shops and stands where enterprising Jamaicans sell cool drinks, food, jewelry and hand crafted items.

The picturesque beach is cradled by peninsulas framing its sparkling clean sand and turquoise blue waters. To the south are pools fed by underground springs which display every color of green and tan. There is a reef that can be explored with snorkels or scuba equipment. Horse rides are available on weekends for the kids.
Paul Smith rents snorkel gear and can arrange safe camping at Winnefred.
This is the beach where scenes for the movie "Club Paradise" with Robin Williams was shot.
The beach is cared for by an informal local association of shopkeepers who clean it daily. Donations to help keep up this effort are appreciated.
